Some of you who follow us on Twitter are aware that before this concert, we were feeling quite old. We don't have the kind of clothes anymore for this kind of outing. 18+ shows are not condusive to matching "Face Time" clothing. We managed to pull something together though.
We headed downtown to a bar called 508 for a little pre-concert happy hour and dinner. WE REMEMBERED TO EAT!!!

We also did a shot. It tasted like glitter mixed with rock 'n roll. We named it the Douchey Magoo after a kind of douche bag bartender at a bar in St Paul that will remain nameless but rhymes with Francini's.
It was raining, of course, so we waited for the doors to open before heading down there. We manuvered ourselves into position to wait out the three opening acts. The rain stopped and it was quite nice to stand outside and just listen. Once the third act was beginning to take down we made our way through the crowd trying to find a spot to land. Not easy in a sea of 6'2" 19 year olds wearing sequined suits.
It was crowded but Lady GaGa was awesome. There is not much else to say about the actual show. We will let our videos and pictures do the talking on that one.

And a few videos...
An acoustic version of Poker Face (it starts about one verse in). Listen for Alexis threatening to kick someone's ass at 0:33. At 3:22: "I'm just a blonde bitch in a bunch of bubbles. And I'm okay with it." Also, around 5:05 or so, you'll have to tilt your head :)
The second half of Future Love. LOVE THIS SONG. It will get stuck in your head, but it's great.
And finally, Poker Face (full version). Notice how wobbly the camera is. We were packed shoulder to shoulder with our neighbors - there was no helping it.
We have a few little random clips too, but these were the best.
After the show we assumed our stalking stances. Armed with the pictures of us with Lady Gaga and my 11th grade Prom date and a silver sharpie we set out into the night trying to get them signed and maybe a few post Prom pics taken.
It was a success!! While we were leaning against the wall of the Fine Line I noticed DJ Space Cowboy (aka Prom Date) exiting the building. I said something to Kim and took off down the street after him. He was gettting on his bus when I caught up to him. In a very excited (shrilly?) voice I pulled out the picture of us from LA and asked if he would sign it and if we could take another picture. At this point I noticed that Kim was STILL WAITING AGAINST THE WALL. I began to scream her name, flail my arms wildly and generally act like a crazy person. She had the camera and the silver sharpie and without them I was just a crazy person with a glossy 5x7" picture of a celebrity in my purse. Finally, sensing my craziness escalating DJ Space Cowboy began to lead me towards Kim instead of my continuing to try and get her attention. Kim noticed this and finally snapped out of her coma and met us half way. Space Cowboy happily took several pictures with us and signed my picture from LA. He is very sweet and personable but has been taking posing lessons from the DWs.

See, BEST NIGHT EVER PROM!!

He signed Kim's picture too. But it is actually of Lady GaGa. We discovered that he also stole our silver sharpie when Lady GaGa finally exited the building and was unable to sign our pictures of her from LA as well. But we have a new picture for next time.

Holla!
xoxo,
Alexis and Kim
