We made it! 30 posts in 30 days!

I'm pretty proud of us. We actually made more than 30 posts, but we managed to post every day, which was the point of this whole exercise.

So, just a few housekeeping notes. People have been asking us if we're going to continue with the blog now that our tour is over. The short answer is Yes, why not. We might not be updating it as frequently as we have been, but if something happens that involves the New Kids universe and us, I'm sure we'll be writing about it. So make sure to check back regularly!

We still have to do our recaps of San Diego and Los Angeles, so look for those in coming days. We took tons of photos at those shows.

We are going to make good on our promise to answer your reader questions from a few weeks ago too... We didn't think we'd have enough to write about in November, posting every day and all... so that's why we asked. Little did we know!

Also, some of you have commented on the ads that have been running on our site lately... the Meet Naughty Girls and Meet a Penthouse Pet ads. We really didn't intend for those to be running. We had signed up for the "family friendliest" package, but I don't know what kind of families those folks must have... We've disabled ads altogether until and unless we find something that's worth the annoyingness of it all. I personally hate ads, especially animated ones with sound effects.

I think that about covers it for now. It's been really fun meeting those of you who have recognized us at shows and whatnot. We hope you stay in touch!

xoxo, Kim (and Alexis too, I'm sure)

A Jonathan Knight Birthday Party!

Hi everyone, did you get enough turkey yesterday? Did you wake up at the crack of middle-of-the-night to go shopping? I just woke up :) Seven hours of sleep over three days can take its toll on a person.

Alexis and I spent our third Thanksgiving together with our husbands and her kids, and this year we made it through with no tragedies! No oven fires, no broken bones, no missed flights... Yay us!

If you're in the Twin Cities tomorrow, November 29, you should consider joining a group of Blockheads at Tavern on the Avenue in St. Paul. It's right off of 35E and Victoria.

I forgive Donnie

I forgive Donnie for breaking our brains. I think that they can now begin to heal and life can get back to normal for a little bit. Whatever normal is these days. Yesterday was an amazing day. There are so many awesome things that happened that we want to share with you guys but it is going to have to wait until we get home. We are at LAX waiting to board our flight. We are anxious to get home and see our family peeps.

Oh, ok! I will share one little tid bit. In the 5* last night I asked a huge favor of Donnie and he obliged. I asked him if Kim and could have our picture taken with the band and just the two of us. When it came time to take the photo Jon and Jordan were busy wiping themselves down with hand sanitizer so it was just Donnie, Danny, Joe and us. Awesome! The five of us just chillin, having a good time! I still can't believe it.

Our flight is boarding now. Let's hope it is on time. We don't have a lot of wiggle room today.

We hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Holla!

Pour a little out....

We have met so many awesome people on this journey. There are however a few that have stuck with us. We would like to thank those of you right now.

Big giant HOLLAS to the following. We just poured a bit of our drinks our for you..(don't worry, it were not wasteful)

-The TC Blockheads in general! You guys rock our world! Thanks for enabling us while keeping us in your clutches. We love you all but need to pour a little bit extra out for Katie, Lisa, Tiffany, Peggy, Kim T and Ashley. We love you girls!

-The Amazing Amber Preston.

-Birdie and Becky, our Chicago cohorts.

-The Secret Society of Darksider Pirate Hookers. Especially Shannon for convincing that "one more show" won't kill us. Too bad she convinced us of that 5 times.

-Coach Corrie of Florida. Next summer we will get this!

-Kathy. We will never forget the MOA, Shamrocks or your love and support.

-Heather and Sadie of Iowa.

-Every bartender who has humored is along the way.

-And all of the rest of you guys! Thank you all! We can't thank you enough!

Hugs, kisses and holla!

Save the Best For Last....

So we are sitting at the Liberty Grill having lunch. Our pants and shoes are soaked. I just cured my puffy eye syndrome by taking my vodka red bull and applying it directly to my eyes. It worked. It is still raining so we have not ventured far from our hotel. We managed to sleep until 9am! We were proud. We will probably sit here a little bit longer. Kim has switched to lite beer. We need to make a correction to the last post. It was Jordan who was pranked last night not Jon. It took a video review to settle the matter. Jordan came up by himself on the riser before Step By Step. The other guys snuck around the corner.

We are looking forward to tonight. More later...

Congrats Kim and Alexis!

You have now been awake for 24 hours! Not bad for two girls that call 9 pm staying up too late!
Our drive from San Diego was horrid. It was one of the scariest drives I have ever done. The rain was coming down so hard and cars were hydroplaning all over the place. Over three hours later, we are now checked into our hotel in LA and are going to bed. Alarm is set for noon, but knowing is we won't be able to sleep past 9am. Who knows, it wouldn't be the first time we surprised ourselves!

Nighty night,

Unreal!

Everyone always asks us if we ever get sick of seeing the same thing over and over. Well, the truth is not at all, because there are lots of things that do change. Tonight is San Diego was no different. Some highlights:

-Jon brought his A game tonight and won the pose off with an awesome crotch grab.
-I have never heard so much swearing on stage!

-The guys played a joke on Jon and he was the only one who came up the elevated stage.

-They ended the show with 'Shout' which is something we had never seen before.

It is raining cats and dogs. We are back on the 405 heading back to LA. The Garmin says that we should arrive at 2:45am. That is really like 4,45 for us which means that we have been up for about 24 hours.

We are going to sleep in tomorrow. Wwhen we wake

Addendum: this was awesome....

We were mistaken for college students THREE times today. Holla! One of them even thought we were in a sorority! It's that kind of kindness that can warm our 30 something year old hearts.

It Don't Matter Cause We're Here Now

What a great day. On our way down The 405 we stopped in San Clemente to have pizza at Sonny's Pizza on the recomendation of Kim's friend Karen. While we were there we were also able to meet up with an old highschool friend of mine (also named Alexis) for a quick beer.

Before heading out of town we stopped at the pier and played in the ocean for a while. It was wonderful! It was very cleansing and a nice way to reflect on the past several months. I will admit that I cried. I won't speak for Kim.

We arrived in San Diego at about 5:30 and changed in the car. We had set a budget of $150 each for tickets and were surprised to not see any scalpers by the arena. We headed towards the box office and were surprised to find 2 tickets in section R row 5. We took them. Yippie!

We are sitting in a Thai restaurant having a bite to eat and a glass of wine getting our minds right.

Thanks guys for being so supportive. We will check in later.

XOXO

The 405!

We made it! We arrived safe and sound in LA! We picked up our rental car and are off like a dress on prom night down to San Diego. We had an uneventful journey this far. We got a Garmin and it has already saved us once. I like it because it keeps yelling at Kim to "KEEP LEFT!" and she is all, "There is no place else for me to go!" We are going to stop for lunch in a little bit. Not sure where. Maybe somewhere with a beach? Because let's face it- we are two girls from Minnesota and are not embarsassed by our tank tops or desire to go but shorts and flip flops!

Holla back!

A good omen....

We look for signs everywhere. This smiley face greeted us in row 42 of our last minute early flight for LA.
It must be an omen that we are going to get awesome seats now for San Diego, right? We will check in with everyone in about four hours.
Our minds are right and we have just enough of a buzz to be able to sleep for part of the flight. We are going to need all the sleep we can get...

Are your minds right?

XOXO,
Alexis and Kim

Morning Sunshines!

Well, we were able to get on the 9:05 flight to LAX from the Twin Cities with no problem. We are sitting at Rock Bottom Brewery in the airport as I type. We ordered some breakfast and are patiently waiting for the clock to strike 8am so that we can have a cocktail. Hey, its New Kids Day!
Our plan is to grab our rental car when we get to LA and head down to San Diego and find us some tickets!
More later!

12 hours from now...

We'll hopefully be seated on a plane headed for LA.

I'm just going over my packing list...

Driving directions? Check.
Liquids in 3 oz containers in a quart-sized plastic baggie? Check.
Extra change of socks & underwear in case we get stuck in Vegas on Thanksgiving? Check.

Alright, I think we're good!

If you're going to be in San Diego tomorrow, look for us. We'll be in uniform. It's just easier that way.

You may not recognize us if you bump into us on Wednesday in LA. We're going incognito. In other words, we're dressing up. We'll be wearing these pins though.

Maybe we'll be giving out prizes to people who recognize us... maybe we won't.

The Last Supper

Before New Kids Eve, anyway...

the last supper

Alexis came over for dinner with Drew and the kids tonight. Jason and I impulsively bought 6 pounds of mussels at Costco yesterday, and we needed help eating them. Baby Barbie finished off about 2 pounds all by herself!

Anyway, we're just talking about logistics for our last New Kids adventure of 2008. Wow. That just made me a little sad when I typed that. We need all of the good travel vibes you can spare sent our way. This little side trip to San Diego is going to require some luck, and our return flight home from LA is going to require a miracle.

Thanks again for all of your good words, and support, and readership. As we roll into Thanksgiving week we've been thinking about everything that we're thankful for this year... Words can't even begin to describe how grateful we have been for this experience.

We'll be updating throughout the trip, so stay tuned to see what happens.

Will Kim and Alexis make it onto an earlier flight? Will they make it to San Diego? Will they find tickets? Will there be a mudslide? Or will they drink mudslides after missing their flight home to Minneapolis? Will Thanksgiving dinner be at home or at The Flamingo?

xoxo, Kim and Alexis

Sometimes we do things...

That are not New Kids related. Tonight we went to the Minnesota Rollergirls 'punk vs disco' night with some other friends. Kim was disco, I was punk. I colored my hair partially pink. I am awesome. We are going to leave you with this picture of us looking awesome and NOT MATCHING! Crazy shit, know.

Welcome Tacoma News Tribune Readers!

Wow, Jon Bream's article has been popular. From my last count the interview that we did with Jon Bream of the Minneapolis Star Tribune has been republished in at least five other new media outlets. The most recent being the Tacoma News Tribune. I assume that this is in preparation for the upcoming concert there and not just because the new media care about what "just Kim and Alexis" are doing and we are just easily accessible fans.

I wish that the Tacoma New Tribune (or Jon Bream) had followed up with us so we could correct the concerts and make that EIGHT. That is right. From the time we did the Star Tribune interview I guess we have added three more shows. Can that be right?

Let's count for a moment:
1) 8/8/08 - The Mall of America, Best Buy opening (Bloomington, MN). Yes, it was three songs but we still count it...Remember, Donnie told me to "Follow my thing"? Ya, I should stop following my thing any day now...
2) September 28, 2008 - TD Banknorth Garden (Boston, MA) The VH-1 Special!!
3) October 4, 2008 - Allstate Arena (Rosemount, IL)We MegaBused it and brought my son...
4) October 21, 2008 - Xcel Energy Center (St Paul, MN)I got engaged to Joey Mac, we were dorks on WCCO and we threw a rockin party at Shamrocks)
5) October 22, 2008 - Bradley Center (Milwaukee, WI) We Megabused it AGAIN with 10 other TC Blockheads. HOLLA at our peeps!
6) November 12, 2998 - Qwest Center (Omaha, NE) We drove there and back overnight with our friends Tiff and Lisa. TOTALLY WORTH IT!
7) November 25, 2008 - Cox Arena (San Diego, CA) (Hasn't happened, flying standby, buying tickets on the street. All of which violates one of our previously held moral convictions.)
8) 11/26/08 – Nokia Theatre (Los Angeles, CA) (hasn't yet happened, but we have 5* tickets and we’re going)

Well, we started with Boston and Chicago. Then we added St Paul when it was announced. Then they announced the Mall of America. After MOA we added LA. After Chicago we added Milwaukee. After Milwaukee we added Omaha. And after Omaha we added San Diego. So, it could be. What started as 2 quickly became 8. I remember when Kim and I thought that TWO seemed like a big commitment. People have asked how we can afford all of this, but we have been cost effective and I think that everyone would be shocked at how little this whole adventure has cost us. I am not going to say exact numbers at this point but I will just say that it is A LOT less than you are thinking.

We have a busy weekend ahead of us. We have my belated birthday outing (besides the Omaha concert) at the Minnesota Rollergirls bout tomorrow (I promise you will see pics later) and we have pack for our trip as well as get ready for Thanksgiving. Given our flight schedule we will be flying back on Thanksgiving day in time for dinner. Which is good, because I usually host dinner for Kim and Jason here with our family so no one will mind if Kim and I are a bit dazed and confused and I start the oven on fire *again*.

Get your minds right!!

"Alexis, did you know that San Diego means Whale Vagina?"

Is the Facebook message that my friend Trevor sent me when I mentioned through a status update that I couldn't believe that I was even contemplating San Diego. Nice, huh?

Well, true to form last night we decided to just go for it. We are going to San Diego. Even with all the changes we actually come out almost cost-neutral and it actually only adds like 12 hours onto our trip. We are going to try and fly out Tuesday morning, rent a car and drive to San Diego and then come back to LA after the show. Wednesday we are going to hang out during the day and then head to the 5* festivities. Then, Thursday morning we head back home in time for Thanksgiving dinner. The guys will be in charge of getting the Turkeys ready for dinner and Kim and I will finish everything up when we get home. That is if we are able to function after the realization hits that this was our last big adventure with the guys...

People have asked us about what we are going to do with the blog and our time when the tour is done... well, we may have to blog about the therapy we are in to get over our post-reunion depression. Or, hopefully all of our plotting for a tour next summer...

XOXOXO
Alexis

ps: And thanks Trevor for always being super supportive of my New Kids adventures. I wish we could have made it down to Florida this time around...

Our Top Ten Favorite Moments from the NKOTB Reunion (so far)

In no particular order:

10. The Mall of America craziness… we were there at 3:30 in the morning waiting for their 6:30 pm performance. The anticipation of seeing them for the first time in 18 years was indescribable.

9. Being in Boston for the 9/28 show. It wasn’t their first hometown performance of the tour, but it was still amazing. [Kim: my dad actually sent me a text message that night, saying that he was watching the show live on VH1 and was looking for me on the TV. That was awesome.]

8. The new friends that we’ve met through the NKOTB communities. We’ve traveled to shows with some of them, and we’ve had a blast.

7. Being interviewed by Sarah Rodman, in the Boston Globe , with the guys, their management, Billboard Magazine, etc, just before the debut of their new album was amazing. Amazing isn’t even a strong enough word. Who are we to be included in such company?

6. Throwing Donnie into a wall and setting the record straight with Joe at the St Paul 5* meet and greet .

5. Taking over Shamrocks for the NKOTB pre-party before the St Paul show. They didn’t think we’d get more than a few people there, but we filled the place! The post-show dance party where we boogied on the booths until closing time was so, so, so much fun.

4. Our blog has been a crazy adventure in and of itself. We never thought we’d have so many people interested in what we were doing… You guys are awesome

3. Getting to see the guys having so much fun together onstage… each show has definitely had a different vibe, but when they are having fun and goofing off, you can’t help but be infected by their happiness.

2. Lisa and Tiff throwing the “Tonight We’re Dancing Dirty” banner onto the “B” stage in Omaha, and the band's reaction to it.

1. All of the adventures that the two of us have had together so far… and those that have yet to come!

We're going to be answering your questions from a couple of weeks ago in upcoming posts... you ask hard questions!

xoxo, Kim and Alexis

Thanks everyone.

You guys (gals) are the greatest. Thanks for the words of support regarding the post about haters the other day. We know we're not the only ones who have to defend our sanity!

Anyway, this is going to be a short one. Plans for San Diego are still up in the air, but it's looking like we probably won't be going. If we do, it will be last-minute, flying standby, crossing our fingers that we're able to find tickets once we get there. But that's looking like a long shot at this point.

Speaking of taking a gamble, will anybody be in Vegas on Thanksgiving? Hopefully we won't be, but just in case we get stuck... want to hang out ?

Stay tuned for a post-turkey day TC Blockheads get-together announcement.

xoxo, peace, holla, etc.

Oh - just in case you haven't seen it... check out the alleged new Dirty Dancing video . Yikes.

California Dreaming....

Who would have ever thought that Donnie's San Diego blog post would cause us so much turmoil. Tonight we crafted (Do we ever do anything else?) magnets to take with us to the Los Angeles show because we really missed having them in Omaha. While we were applying shiny glitter to the magnets we also searched the internets for tickets and flights. We are already flying into LAX on Tuesday but if we decided to go to San Diego we would need to catch an earlier flight. I made a call to NWA where they told me that it was going to be $200 to change our flight or we could fly standby on Tuesday morning for $50. Armed with this information we started searching for tickets. We admit it, we are ticket snobs. Once you have been so close it is hard to ever go back to the lower bowl. The thing is that there are not that great of seats out there. A lot of Section A and R but not a lot on the floor. And what is available on the floor isn't that great either. So now we are having a cost/benefit analysis talk with ourselves. Do we spend the roughly $500 it would take to get us to San Diego or should we save up our energy for LA where we have 5 star? Or do we try to fly standby on Tuesday and see if we can get tickets outside the arena before the show?
What do you guys think? I can almost hear Drew screaming as he reads this, "ARE YOU PEOPLE F'IN KIDDING ME?" since he finds out the plans for our adventures by reading it here just like the rest of you do.

No Drew, we are not kidding you. Amen.

Holla at your girls!!

Under My Skin

Hi friends,

I have been trying to ignore the negative energy as best as I can, but today I guess the simmer has turned into a boil.

I'm going to try to make this brief for the sake of my molecules .

I know that some of our friends and families and I'm sure more than a few strangers think that we've lost our marbles in regards to this whole NKOTB thing. We've even poked fun at ourselves for our antics. We do realize that if you drew a bell curve for NKOTB fandom, we might fall outside of the normal distribution. We get it. But really, who cares? Have we hurt anybody? Have we hurt ourselves? As far as I can tell, we haven't.

While outwardly we joke about impulsive decision making and one-way tickets to crazy town, we actually do think our actions through - in fact, we probably overanalyze most of them.

What is it about the New Kids on the Block that evokes such disdain from people? What makes people think that just because it's New Kids that it's automatically okay to be rude to strangers (and friends)? Some random guy in Omaha thought he was soooo funny, making fun of us in our concert gear. What is the difference between this and any other adventure/hobby/passion?

If we were two dudes who embarked on a tour of the nation's ballparks, would you think less of us?

If we were into architecture, and we needed to see every east coast lighthouse before we died, would you think we were nuts?

If we were history buffs needed to see every Civil War battle site, would you tell us to our face (non-jokingly) that we are idiots?

If we were going on Phish tour, or Widespread Panic tour, or any of those other tours that require hallucinogens to fully appreciate the scene (oh please, you know it's true), would you make fun of us?

I guess what I'm trying to say is - we're still the same people we were before this whole crazy thing started. In fact, these are the people we've been all along. You were never this rude to us then... what's changed? Is it us? Is it you?

When it all comes down to it, it doesn't really matter to us. Sure it's hurtful when our loved ones treat us like we've somehow disappointed them, or that we deserve less respect than we once did. The important thing is that we know who we are, and we're okay with what we're doing. In fact, this has been one of the happiest times of our lives. The fact that people want to poop on our parade is just a little bit annoying. This will all be over soon, and then maybe we can talk about it.

If you're one of those people who can't help but say something rude to us when the topic of NKOTB comes up (a long shot, I'm sure, since those folks don't really follow our blog anyway), can you maybe just bite your tongue next time? It won't kill you. I promise.

Tomorrow we'll be back to our regularly scheduled programming. My dad's encouraging us to go to San Diego... stay tuned.

xoxo, Kim (and Alexis, I'm sure)

This post is brought to you by the number Six

Six hours to get to Omaha, Six hours spent in Omaha, Six hours to get home from Omaha, Arrived home here at our destination at Six A.M., Adding this show brought our total number of full shows to Six, Some people refer to Alexis as Six...

This little leg of our adventure included our friends Tiffany and Lisa. The seeds had been planted during the Megabus ride home from Milwaukee a few weeks ago, but we all made the impulse decision a week just a before the show that we should actually go.

Since vacation days are in short supply for most of us these days, we figured that we would take a half day from work, leaving here at noon. Then after the show was over, we'd leave immediately to drive home, going directly to work the following morning.

It was an insane plan, but I think we can all agree that it was totally worth it.

The drive to Omaha went by relatively quickly. We passed the time making lists of all of our previously-held convictions that we've abandoned during the tour. There are quite a few of them, and we'll write about them at a later date.

As we were approaching Omaha, we decided it would be best to pull over and get changed and ready for the show ahead of time. We chose one of Iowa's fine rest stops.

DSCN0631

desperate times call for desperate measures- yes, we got ready at a truck stop.

We kind of took the women's restroom over for a few minutes, but that was NO EXCUSE for the two women who stopped in to not wash their hands after using the toilet! I was *this* close to running after them asking what the hell was wrong with them! I figured it might be best not to get into a fight though, so I let it go...

On the way in, we stretched out our Hangin' Tough arms...
warming up the Hangin Tough arms!

We rolled into Omaha around 6:00 (coincidence? I think not). We parked the car at the arena and decided to find some food. Farrell's (?) bar was the closest place we could see, so we headed there.

Some guy offered to buy our track jackets off of our backs for $200 each. SO we agreed.
DSCN0633

JUST KIDDING! We would have frozen on the walk back to the arena! Plus there was no guarantee that they'd have our sizes in stock by the time we got back to the merch table. Just for fun, I checked eBay. Those things are valuable!

So after a grilled cheese sandwich, we headed back over to the arena. We found our seats and settled in for Lady Gaga. She was fun!
DSC02392

Between sets we decided we needed to document the track jacket phenomenon. I have no idea who that fifth person is. I think she wishes she had a jacket too.

I love this picture!!

As we wrote about yesterday , one of the banners that we made last weekend was acquired by the band. Lisa and Tiffany made a run for the B stage in time to get back there before security stopped letting people through. We were too mesmerized by what was going on in front of us to remember to run. Whoops. Anyway, Thanks to Tiff's awesome throwing arm, the "Tonight We're Dancing Dirty" banner made it onto the B stage, where it was admired by the band. Donnie wore it as a cape for part of his walk back up to the main stage... who knows where it ended up in the end, but it was pretty fun to see while it lasted!

When the show was over, we hung out for a few minutes so Lisa could go say hello to a friend, and then we headed back towards Minnesota. There were some technical difficulties of the GPS variety, but eventually we ended up heading the right direction.

We each took turns driving for a little bit. None of us were really up to the task of driving all night long.

We pulled up to Kim T's house, where we'd left my car at approximately 6:00 AM. I dropped Lisa at work and Alexis at home, and headed to my office where I worked a full day.

It was a long, long day. But it was totally worth it.

We've broken our brains, and Donnie isn't helping.

We just spent the last three and a half hours answering interview questions for a magazine. We aren't going to be able to write about anything that's very clever right now.

Instead, we'd like to show you how Donnie has broken our brains.

So naturally, in our broken-brain state, we think that he's talking to us, right? The collective "us?" The royal "us?" Or just plain Alexis and Kim us...?

It's late. Vodka and sparkling wine has been involved. But really, Donnie, if you're out there reading this... That part about helping us find a way? You make it happen and we'll be there ;)
If not, we'll see you in L.A.

We're Still Standing, Ya, Ya, Ya

So, we went to Omaha yesterday. From the time I got picked up to the time I got dropped off at home equaled a total of 20 hours. 20 hours, three states, New Kids and then back again. I only felt like I was tripping on acid once on the drive home. I pulled over quickly. We will get "the recap" done soon. I promise. I promise on Kim's behalf.
Until then, here is an awesome pic of the four of us in between opening acts.

Vampires of Iowa

We are on the road in Iowa on our way to Omaha and our minds are totally right. Remind us to never move to Des Moines. The traffic here is stupid. Kim is perplexed about the sheer volume of cars on the road.

As we were approaching Iowa we also drove through the nastiest swarm of bats. Thousands of vampire bats trying to suck our blood and turn us nocturnal. Think of all the energy we would have at concerts if we were used to staying up all night.

The Garmin predicts our arrival at 5:55pm. We are debating where we should change out of our matching track jackets and into our concert clothes.

We heard there was a bar that serves champagne ON TAP! We might check that out.

Happy Day Before New Kids Day!

Happy New Kids Eve!
Tomorrow is promising to be a very busy day! We are trying to get on the road by from the Twin Cities to Omaha by 12:30 tomorrow afternoon. Not an easy task trying to wrangle four career women who all have to work a half day!
For those who have been dying to know, our seats are in row 2 towards stage right and we will for sure be wearing our facetime shirts. Come find us. We will be giving slow motion hugs all night.

The Astrological Forecast for Wednesday, November 12 2008

"The full moon is coming on Wednesday the 12th. This one happens to be
in Taurus, one of the most sensual signs of the zodiac, so why not
take a few days to get ready for it? Think of this one as though it
were a holiday. It would be a shame to let it sneak up on you, and
then be caught unprepared for its offerings, like someone showing up
to the birthday party with a gift bought at the grocery store en route
to the party. Put a small degree of planning into the affair and
you'll have the benefit of feeling confident enough in the thrust of
the event to take advantage of all that will be offered. Since Taurus
rules the appetite and a full moon in Taurus promises to sate your
hunger, it would be wise to consider what exactly it is you're most
hungry for. Be it a choice meal, an unforgettable encounter with
someone you find fascinating or a career boon you would be thrilled to
receive, it's all possible. The key is in focusing on what exactly you
would prefer to have happen. Decide on one ideal scenario, and then
imagine this scene unfolding on Wednesday. Repetition is key."

Wowza. This little trip that we're taking to Omaha to see our favorite boy band could be veeeery interesting, don't you think?

I could spend hours breaking it down sentence by sentence... The innuendo is fantastic.

I'll focus instead on just the last sentence.

Repetition is key.

Alexis and I have been agonizing over what to wear to this show. We've sort of had dumb little themes going on with each of them, but since this show was a last-minute addition, and we're both kind of broke right now, we were kind of stumped.

We were being very strongly pulled to both ends of the outfit spectrum. On one end was our Face Time t-shirts, which we've already worn to two shows (St Paul and Milwaukee), and on the other end is something completely different. A possible contender for "completely different" is our Flight of the Conchords shirts (mine says "Brunettes Not Fighter Jets" and hers is "Blondes Not Bombs")... We were torn because although our Face Time shirts are awesome and sparkly and get us noticed, we've already worn them twice and we'd hate to be lame.

The Repetition is key line sealed the deal though. Face Time it is! We'll probably leave the pink tights at home though :)

If you see us being lame wearing our shirts for the third time in a row, make sure to stop by and say hi!

Well, my Dad was not around tonight when I called him to pick the winner. But my attorney Jennifer was. Holla at Jennifer! When given the grueling task of picking a number between 1-26 she picked #23. So, will misnkotb please contact us at projectnkotb (at) gmail.com. We need your contact information and a picture of you!!

So, to honor of misnkotb we will answer your questions first.

-Kim is an Environmental Health Specialist. She has her Master's in Public Health. Alexis is a Landscape Designer. She has several Bachelor's degrees in Advertising, Rhetoric and Horticulture.
-Kim is married to Jason. Alexis is married to Andrew. They both think that we are crazy but are also crazy supportive.
Kim has a dog named Tank. Alexis has a dog named Louie and two children. Aiden is 6 and Baby Barbie is 2.
-Neither one of Alexis's kids are named after a New Kid. But there is still time.

Right around the corner!

Just a reminder that the super awesome "win your own action figure" contest ends tonight at 5pm (central time). You only have a few more hours left to ask us anything. I mean really, anything. And come on, who doesn't want a action figure to be part of our posse.

I still can't believe that no one wants to know if Donnie wears boxers or briefs...
