Summertime. Summer. Those fleeting few months in Minnesota when it's not too cold to be outside. The lakes... Fresh produce... Short skirts... Long days.
Summer is sacred to those of us in the upper midwest.
NKOTB recorded a song called Summertime. It's a catchy song. It evokes a lot of good things about summer, while throwing in a little bit of nostalgia.
HOWEVER.
This likeable, groovable song is currently being used to torture us. On the big screens, they are running a continuous loop of the Today Show performance, the Summertime video, and the Making-of video for Summertime.
I am starting to hate this song. I'm not exaggerating that we have heard it approximately 40 times in the past three hours.
Summertime is being ruined for hundreds of people here today.

Summertime is not my favorite song. Also how's the residual air odor? Not everyone showers the same. Did you bring Febreeze?
I couldn't imagine only being able to listen to Summertime...too bad you guys don't have an iPod.

i'd rather silence than that - at this stage i'm guessing you guys feel the same way as well! ;)
